FriEnt works on key challenges at the interface between peace building and development and thus generates significant impetus for its members’ practical work.
FriEnt’s priority countries and regions have, in some cases, been blighted by violent conflict for decades. Both the causes of the conflicts and the opportunities for and approaches to settling the conflicts differ immensely.
For FriEnt, they represent examples which illustrate various possibilities and constraints of peace building and non-violent conflict management. Country-specific round tables hosted by FriEnt provide a central forum for networking and dialogue.
The Working Group on Peace and Development (FriEnt) is an association of governmental organisations, church development agencies, civil society networks, and political foundations. FriEnt aims to pool capacities, support networking and cooperation, and contribute to conflict-sensitive development cooperation. About us
FriEnt's nine members are united by their great commitment to peace and development. They vary, however, in their size, mandate, international partners, projects and approaches. They aim to utilise their diverse perspectives and experience as an asset for their shared productive work on peace building in the context of development cooperation. FriEnt members
