On 16 April the Security Council will hold an open debate on “Post
Conflict Peacebuilding: Comprehensive Peacebuilding Strategy to Prevent
Recurrence of Conflict.” The meeting has been called by Japan, the
president of the Council for April, and will be presided over by the
country’s Minister for Foreign affairs Katsuya Okada. Other high level
officials may also participate. A presidential statement is expected as
an outcome of the meeting.
