Bettina Wolff

Advisor Communications

Bettina Wolff is managing the communications for the Working Group on Peace and Development. She is a journalist with a double master’s degree in international development with a focus on migration (Università Ca’ Foscari Venezia, Italy; Université Paul-Valéry Montpellier, France; Université de Sousse, Tunisia). She also studied International Business with French at the University of Warwick (UK) including politics and journalism at Sciences Po Paris.

After having worked in an online marketing firm in London, she became a team leader for an international development project in Bolivia with the United Nations Association International Service (UNAIS). Afterwards, she worked as a journalist for the German newspaper “Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung”.

Before working for Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), she was the head of division for European labour market and social policy for the German Trade Union Confederation in Berlin. Before that, she was a parliamentary group manager in the Regional Council of Cologne. For the past ten years, Bettina has been active in European politics and is currently coordinating an international podcast project in eight languages.

The Working Group on Peace and Development (FriEnt) is an association of governmental organisations, church development agencies, civil society networks, and political foundations.
