Anja Justen

Deputy coordinator | Network manager for FriEnt | Project manager for FriEnt Peacebuilding Forum 2021

Anja Justen has been working for FriEnt as a consultant for cooperation management and as deputy director since 2019. She is the coordinator of the FriEnt Peacebuilding Forum 2021. From 2009 to 2018, Anja was a peacebuilding officer for the Consortium Civil Peace Service (CPS) and was its representative within the FriEnt-Team. Before, she implemented a project to promote active citizenship at the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW), was a CPS peace expert in the Indonesia Project of the international human rights organisation Peace Brigades International (pbi) and worked for various organisations in international cooperation.

A training in consulting and organisational development complements her experience in facilitating and accompanying teams, organisations, networks and leaders in learning and change processes. Anja is a Do No Harm trainer and studied political science at the Philipps University of Marburg and at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. Currently, one of her interests is to harness the potential of agile organisational development and collegial leadership for development and peacebuilding organisations and networks.

The Working Group on Peace and Development (FriEnt) is an association of governmental organisations, church development agencies, civil society networks, and political foundations.
